In 2008, ethical beauty retailer The Body Shop has expanded its unique Community Trade programme to include coconut growers from Samoa.
As well as receiving a fair wage, the producers and their families can therefore improve their selfesteem and their involvement in the community, plus build a livelihood that supports their communities.

Throughout the years, The Body Shop has proved its reputation as a company with a strong moral grounding and provided ongoing support to WIBDI’s coconut oil producers.
